It is our great pleasure to invite you to the ExcellMater Conference 2024: Innovative Biomaterials for Novel Medical Devices that will be held in Belgrade, Serbia, on April 10-12, 2024.

The conference is the final event organized within the Horizon 2020 project: Twinning to excel materials engineering for medical devices – ExcellMater (GA 952033) aiming to cover breakthroughs in biomaterials science, translation of basic research to potential clinical applications, new medical devices, and commercial possibilities for utilization of novel biomaterials. It also aims to present results of the ExcellMater project, engage early-stage researchers, and provide an opportunity to cluster with other Horizon 2020 projects. In specific, the conference will include two dedicated sessions on the projects Premurosa (GA 860462) and AIMed (GA 861138), a Twinning session, keynote talks of internationally renowned scientists, oral and poster sessions, and panel discussions. As it will be held in the Science and Technology Park Belgrade, a place gathering and accelerating development of startups and growing tech companies, the conference participants will be offered a round tour and meetings with the Park residents. Thus, the ExcellMater conference will provide plenty of opportunities for networking and exchange of ideas among researchers in different scientific fields as well as interactions with clinicians, SMEs and industry representatives.

Belgrade is one of the oldest cities in Europe located at the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers. It is a dynamic and controversial city with a lot of historical sites, cultural and sport events, and a lively nightlife. April in Belgrade is specifically known to bring colors and brightness of early spring and we believe that you will enjoy the conference as well as the exciting city of Belgrade.
